The last couple of weeks, I have had lots of things to think about. Almost ready to name the independent American publisher who tells me he wants to publish `Shula,` my short story collection. I have rejoined The Writers` Guild in honour of this happening.
My story `Words` is due to appear on the website Jewishfiction.net, which I think will be going live on the eve of Rosh Hashanah – Jewish New Year. This weekend.
It took me a while to fill in the online forms in order to send The Song of Deborah to the website Smiths Scripts, but I succeeded in the end.
And – I was pleased to be informed by the Operations Director of the charity M E Research, that my ebook/slim paperback M E and Me is to be included in their facebook reading list. Just need to get the links right, and send them off.
There has been so much going on that I haven`t felt able to work on anything new. But then an email caught my eye. The closing date for the Mslexia short story competition. There is a story not in the collection (for various reasons,) called The Emissary. To my horror I checked it and found it had 4,900 words. I now have 3 days in which to cut it to 3000 words. A challenge.
